JPL is an invite only clan founded on the 17th of December 2006 by ROOR:20 for the source engine modification EMPIRES. We have always been a much more relaxed group than many of our fellow empires clans, having no ranking system and no heirarchy, other than the clan leader. Everyone in the clan has a say in its operation and any changes in the clans direction are done via polls which can be put up by anyone, new or old. Unlike many typical clans, new members are recruited via internal polling, rather than by applications, which require a certain number of votes to pass and any negative votes must be explained. Many of our players are veterans of the 1.0x series of Empires releases, with newer members coming from the more recent 2.x series.
We have many talented mappers, scripters and artists within the clan and the majority of us are involved in the internal testing of new empires releases.
In JPL we strive to be best we can be, not just in terms of skill, but in the way we conduct ourselves in game. To be considered for JPL doesn't just require that you're good at the game, but that you conduct yourself in an appropriate and respectable manner as well.
